3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 is a liquid primer sponge packet used for most low surface energy plastics. This would include common low surface energy plastics used for automotive dash and interior trim applications (TPO, PPO, PP, PC, PC + ABS, etc). Sponge applicator packet is 2.5cc per packet. One packet covers approximately 150 square inches of substrate at the recommended coating thickness.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals which is [are] known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Only apply to the area which will be completely covered with double sided tape.
NOTE: We do not recommend using the promotor on stealth PPF surfaces. or vinyl. Any adhesive promoter residue can be removed using rubbing alcohol.
Love it!! Install went perfect after watching the install video.
It makes the area really tacky for the emblem to stick to. Feels like will stay there forever. However the extra adhesive promoter is hard to get off. I tried different car detailing sprays but wouldn’t come off. Had to get rubbing compound to get off then seal and wax. If I would have known before hand I wouldn’t have been so liberal putting it on

Any adhesive promoter residue can be removed using rubbing alcohol. Mineral spirits is also noted to work well. Hope that helps.
